The No. 17 Salisbury University baseball team returned to Sea Gull Baseball Stadium on Thursday, March 7 to host the Neumann University Knights. The Sea Gulls struck first in the bottom of the second inning to score two runs, including this successful sacrifice squeeze bunt by Will Gutekunst that allowed Scott Cameron to score from third base. Salisbury added two more to its total in the third inning on this bases-loaded 2 RBI single to left field by Cameron Hyder. RBI singles by Jack Barry and Scott Cameron in the sixth inning pushed Salisbury’s lead to 7-2, a score that would hold for the remainder of the game. Zach Amisano earned his second win of the season, throwing six innings, allowing only two runs, and striking out three batters. The team will hit the road for the first time this season when it travels to Johns Hopkins University on Sunday, March 10. First pitch is set for 2 p.m.
