SALISBURY, Md. – The Salisbury University women's tennis team stumbled at home to the Christopher Newport Captains, 9-0, in Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference (C2C) action on Saturday.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Elizabeth Christine and Sarah Cooper battled with Megan Bauer and Kiersten Chang in No. 3 double but fell 8-4 in a close match.
- Veronica Cuellar won three points against Reagan Delp in No. 1 singles.
- Katherine Tamesis and Elizabeth Christine picked up two points in No. 2 and No. 4 singles respectively.
- Cooper looked to get a win back in No. 6 singles against Kendra Womack and won two out of the first games in the first set. But, Womack came back to defeat Cooper in straight sets.
UP NEXT
- Salisbury will be back on the courts on Saturday, April 24 in Buena Vista, Va. against Southern Virginia in a C2C match.
- The match is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m.
