SALISBURY, Md. - The Salisbury University women's soccer team started off the season in a big way with 4-0 win over the Methodist Monarchs to open the Salisbury University Classic Friday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- In the first half, senior Jules Boller collected her first goal of the season.
- Dana Gordon put the Sea Gulls up two in the 37th minute thanks to an assist from Kara Schmidt.
- Freshman Autumn Dougherty netted a pair of goals in the second half. Schmidt assisted Dougherty's first goal a minute into the second half.
GAME NOTES
- The Sea Gulls had goals in the first half from Jules Boller and Dana Gordon. Both of Salisbury's second-half goals came from Autumn Dougherty.
- Kara Schmidt collected two assists.
- Salisbury held a 5-1 advantage in shots on goal.
- The Sea Gulls defense left Methodist with only six shots.
- Both teams tallied one save.
