SALISBURY, Md. – The Salisbury University men's and swimming team dropped their Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) opener to York on Saturday.

Women's Final Score: York 144, Salisbury 116

HOW IT HAPPENED
Men
- Kyle Russell won three individual medals at the meet. Russell won the 50-meter breaststroke (31.41), the 100-meter breaststroke (1:08.38) and won the 200-meter individual medley (2:20.90).
- Josh Brown swam the 50-meter butterfly with a time of 26.51 to earn a first-place finish.
- In the 200-meter freestyle relay, the team of Mitchell McGee, Jeff Rowan, Sean Cochran, and Brown finished first with a time of 1:42.31
- The 200-meter medley relay squad of Richard Baker, Brown, Brandon Hoagland and Russell won the event in a time of 1:50.30.
- Kameron Conley finished second in the 200-meter IM with a time of 2:28.59
- Richard Baker earned a second place finishes in the 50-meter backstroke (28.77) and the 100-meter backstroke (1:03.50).
Women
- Kiki Graham won the 50-meter butterfly (30.89) and the 100-meter butterfly (1:10.36) while Jordan Degruchy came in third with a time of 1:12.22.
- Natalie Eakin won the 50-meter freestyle in 23.98
- Teagan Rorhbaugh also earned herself a first-place finish in 1:20.12 racing in the 100-meter breaststroke.
- Emma Tarnosky and Autumn Allen earned second-place finishes. Tarnosky in the 100-meter backstroke (1:11.04) and Allen in the 50-meter breaststroke (38.07).
- The 200-meter medley team of Tarnosky, Rohrbaugh, Graham and Chase McClure finished earned a first place finish with the time of 2:07.48
- In the 200-meter freestyle, the team of Jordan Degruchy, Mary Green, Briya Cohen and McClure finished the race with a time of 2:01.96 to earn a first place finish.
MEET NOTES
- Kyle Russell's first-place finish in the is also a Maggs Pool record.
- Josh Brown swam a 26.51 for another new pool record time in the 50-meter butterfly.
- Kiki Graham finished the 50-meter butterfly in 30.89 for pool record as well.
UP NEXT
- The teams will be back in action November 2 when they travel to Southern Virginia for a weekend meet against the Knights.
- Salisbury is on the road for the next six meets, one including the Gettysburg Invitational.
- The swim team doesn't return home until Jan. 5, 2020 when they ring in the new year against McDaniel College
