SALISBURY, Md. - The Salisbury University men's lacrosse team remained third in the nation according to the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Coaches Poll and the Nike / U.S. Lacrosse Top 20 Poll, which were released on Monday.
Salisbury garnered 367 points to take the third spot in the USILA poll. RIT remained in the first slot with 391 points and 12 first-place votes. Tufts stuck to the second slot with 380 points and the remaining eight first-place votes. Lynchburg took the fourth spot while Cabrini remained in fifth. Lynchburg collected 327 points while Cabrini collected 304 points respectively.
In the Nike/U.S. Lacrosse Poll, the Sea Gulls remained third in the rankings for the fourth consecutive week. RIT remained in the second spot while Tufts takes top billing for the second consecutive week. York and Lynchburg complete the top-five, in that order.
Salisbury finished its Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference (C2C) schedule undefeated after a 29-14 victory over the Southern Virginia Knights on Saturday, May 1.
As the top seed in the C2C Championship Tournament, Salisbury will host the C2C semifinal matchup on Wednesday, May 5 at Sea Gull Stadium against fourth-seeded St. Mary's. The match-up is set for a 4 p.m. start.
