RADNOR, Pa. – Career-bests by Lucas Martin and Mike Ward paced the Salisbury University men's basketball team on Thursday as they took down the Cabrini Cavaliers, 96-92 in overtime.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Both teams looked to establish control in the early parts of the game. Salisbury opened up with an eight-point lead until Cabrini started to close the gap with a one-point advantage from a three-pointer from Keith Blassingdale with 12 minutes left on the clock.
- Salisbury jumped ahead 31-23 with eight minutes left in the half after 14-5 run with 8:02 left in the half. This lead was polished off by a Lucas Martin three-pointer on an assist by after an assist by Cameron Heard.
- Cabrini came back to take the 39-35 lead moving into halftime after a 12-8 run closed out the half.
- Salisbury erased their first-half deficit after a 14-2 run gave the Sea Gulls a 53-43 lead with 12:53 left in regulation.
- Cabrini climbed back into the game with a 12-2 run of their own to tie the game at 55 with just over nine minutes left in the second half.
- The rest of the half saw eight lead changes as Cabrini took a 79-76 lead with 1:19 left in regulation when Bryce Parks split a pair of free throws.
- The slim three-point lead was quickly gone as Martin knocked down a three-pointer to nod the game at 79 with just over a minute left in the half.
- Cabrini had a chance to win the game in the waning seconds of regulation but Brice Parks' fadeaway jumper attempt as time expired was blocked by Martin to send the game into overtime with the score tied at 81.
- The Salisbury defense stifled the Cabrini offense, limiting the Cavaliers to 36.4 percent shooting in the overtime period. The Sea Gulls opened the overtime on an 8-3 run to pull away from the Cavaliers.
GAME NOTES
- Salisbury shot 43.0 percent (34-79) from the field compared to Cabrini's 40.8 percent (31-76) shooting.
- Cabrini notched 13 shots from behind the three-point line as compared to Salisbury's 10.
- The Sea Gulls outrebounded the Cavaliers, 55-47.
- Mike Ward had a career day with 30 points and 11 rebounds. Ward shot 10-of-19 from the field, including 4-of-8 from behind the three-point line. Ward also added three assists and three blocks.
- Lucas Martin also notched a career-high in points and rebounds with 25 points and 11 rebounds. Martin went 9-of-12 shooting and 2-of-3 from deep Martin matched Ward with three blocks and a steal.
- Cameron Heard set season-bests with 13 points and nine rebounds. Heard also collected five rebounds.
- Devin Garrett recorded nine points and eight rebounds.
- Bryan Boehlert had six rebounds. Garrett, Boehlert, Gary Briddell and D'Angelo Tull all had two assists.
- Four Cabrini players saw double-digits in points. Keith Blassingale leads with 29 points followed by Voshon Mack with 17. DJ Smith and Jordan Brown both had 11 points.
