The Salisbury University men’s basketball team remained unbeaten on the season, topping visiting Goucher College, 101-71 on Wednesday night, marking the first time the program has reached the 100-point plateau in more than 10 years. James Foley led the Sea Gulls on a run in the middle of the first half to open the team’s lead to 14 points. Foley finished with a season-high 21 points in the game to go with nine rebounds. Gary Briddell sparked a late first-half run, which allowed Salisbury to hold an 18-point lead at halftime. Briddell scored 10 points late in the first half, had 16 at the break, and finished with 18 in the game. Six Sea Gulls finished in double figures with Blair Davis scoring 11 while dishing out five assists. Mike Ward and Chase Kumor each scored 11 points, as well, while Johnny Fierstein had 12 points and a career-high seven assists. The Sea Gulls open Capital Athletic Conference play on Saturday, traveling to St. Mary’s College of Maryland for a game beginning at 4 p.m.
